    • The application relates to a stationary communication device (1) comprising a housing (12) and an antenna (11) and a transceiver unit (Rx/Tx) operationally coupled to the antenna, the housing being adapted for assuming a specific orientation relative to the surface of the earth when placed in an operational state.     • The invention relates to an assistive listening system comprising an audio transmitting device adapted for transmitting an audio signal and/or a control signal to a multitude of receiving listening devices and at least one receiving listening device adapted for receiving said audio signal and said control signal from said audio transmitting device. The invention further relates to a method of operating an assistive listening system and to its use. The object of the present invention is to provide an assistive listening system suitable for servicing a multitude of body worn listening devices in a wireless environment.     • The invention relates to a method of pairing a first device with a second device, the first and second devices being adapted for wirelessly communicating with each other, the pairing of devices aiming at ensuring communication only between trusted devices. The invention further relates to a communication device, a system, a computer readable medium and a data processing system. The object of the present invention is to provide a simple and intuitive scheme for pairing two wireless devices. The problem is solved by providing in the first device an algorithm comprising at least the following states a) A STANDBY state where the first device is in a default state; b) A CONNECTED state where wireless communication between the first and second devices is established; c) A PAIRING state comprising a pairing search state where pairing inquiries are repeatedly issued by the first device; and further providing that when the first device is NOT in the STANDBY or CONNECTED states, the first device is automatically, repeatedly brought in the pairing search state. This has the advantage of providing an automatic scheme for pairing two wireless devices. The invention may e.g. be used for wireless communication devices, e.g. portable, low-power devices, such as listening systems.

    • The application relates to a method of identifying an appropriate wireless communication channel in an audio receiving device, the audio receiving device comprising 1) a wireless receiver for receiving an audio signal on a particular transmission channel selected among a predefined number of possible transmission channels, and 2) a microphone for picking up a sound in the environment of the audio receiving device, and for converting the sound to an electric input signal. The application further relates to an audio receiving device, to a listening device and to a sound system. The object of the present application is to provide an alternative scheme for selecting an appropriate channel in an audio receiving device. The problem is solved in that the method comprises a) selecting a channel as the receiving channel in the wireless receiver of the audio receiving device among said predefined number of possible transmission channels; b) analyzing in the audio receiving device the signal received by the wireless receiver via the receiving channel and the signal picked up by the microphone; c) determining in the audio receiving device whether a predefined criterion concerning the degree of similarity of the signal received by the wireless receiver and the signal picked up by the microphone is fulfilled; d) KEEPING the channel as the receiving channel, if said predefined criterion is fulfilled; and e) CHANGING the receiving channel to another channel selected among said predefined number of possible transmission channels, if said predefined criterion is NOT fulfilled. An advantage of the method is that it provides a relatively simple scheme for selecting an appropriate communication channel. The invention may e.g. be used in sound systems, e.g. classroom amplification systems, teleconferencing systems, public address systems, karaoke systems, etc.
