    • Disclosed is a method of determining in real-time an estimate of a Sound Pressure Level or Sound Exposure corresponding to sound produced in an acoustic environment by multiple loudspeakers of a sound system in response to an input signal to the sound system. The method comprises determining in real-time the estimate of the Sound Pressure Level or Sound Exposure on the basis of the input signal. The sound system is a level-calibrated sound system. Also disclosed is a real-time sound level estimator. Also disclosed are a method and a real-time sound level estimator where the estimation is based on an approximation of system properties based on microphone measurements, or established for multiple listening positions, respectively. Also disclosed are methods of calibrating and monitoring a sound system and calibration and monitoring devices therefore.

    • The invention relates to a loudspeaker system with power consumption control. The loudspeaker system comprises a powered audio bus, a bus driver connected to the powered audio bus where the bus driver feeds control information and audio information into the audio bus. The system further comprises loudspeaker nodes connected to the powered audio bus, where each of the nodes comprises a loudspeaker and an amplifier for driving the loudspeaker based on power from the audio bus, the control information and the audio information. The loudspeaker system further comprises a power consumption control arrangement arranged to reduce a power consumption of the loudspeaker nodes. The power consumption reduction may be obtained on basis of monitored parameters and may be performed for example by entering a standby mode, by reducing the bus voltage which powers the loudspeaker nodes, by reducing a switch frequency of the amplifiers and by other means.

    • The invention relates to a method using a plurality of devices (10) that can be connected to at least one remote unit (20), each device comprising: a memory unit (36) for storing at least one identifier (38) of the device and at least one configuration parameter (40), a control assembly (30) for remotely controlling the devices and comprising at least one man/machine interface (52). The method comprises the following steps: the user selects any one of the configuration parameters; the control assembly detects if the configuration parameter has been selected and provides an identification parameter of the device; the control assembly sends an identification request signal (60) containing the identification parameter; each device receives the signal (60) and each device compares the identification parameter received with the identifier; and the device emits a sound or a visual signal if the result of the comparison reveals that the identification parameter received corresponds to the identifier.
