摘要： A bogie frame (1) for a railroad vehicle, provided with a lateral beam body optimally shaped for the arrangement of equipment on the bogie. In the bogie frame (1), a lateral beam (13) disposed in the left-right direction which is the direction in which the rail ties extend is joined to left and right side beams (12) arranged so as to extend in the front-rear direction which is the direction in which the rails extend. The lateral beam (13) has a flat shape having a width in the front-rear direction greater than the thickness thereof in the top-bottom direction, and the lateral beam (13) is provided with left and right joining sections (31) joined to the side beams (12), and also with an intermediate section (32) sandwiched between the left and right joining sections (31). The width of the intermediate section (32) in the front-rear direction is greater than the width of the joining sections (31) in the front-rear direction. A through-hole (33) is formed in the intermediate section (32).
