    • A process for preparing β-mercaptocarboxylic acid of the present invention is provided with Step a for reacting a compound represented by a formula: X 1 2 S (X 1 represents hydrogen, Na or K) or a compound represented by a formula: X 2 SH (X 2 represents Na or K), alkali hydroxide represented by a formula: X 3 OH (X 3 represents Na or K), and unsaturated carboxylic acid represented by the following General Formula (1) to obtain a reaction solution including a compound represented by the following General Formula (2) and a compound represented by the following General Formula (3), Step b for neutralizing the reaction solution obtained in Step a with an acid to obtain a reaction solution including β-mercaptocarboxylic acid represented by the following General Formula (4) and a compound represented by the following General Formula (5), Step c for distillation-refining the reaction solution obtained in Step b to obtain the β-mercaptocarboxylic acid represented by General Formula (4), and Step d for returning a distillation residue including the compound represented by General Formula (5) in Step c to Step a.
    • 本发明的β-巯基羧酸的制备方法包括步骤a:使式X12S(X1代表氢,Na或K)所代表的化合物或式X2X代表的化合物(X2代表Na或 (2)表示的化合物和下述通式(2)表示的化合物的反应溶液,式(X)表示的碱金属氢氧化物,X3OH表示的碱金属氢氧化物(X3表示Na或K) (3)所示的化合物,工序b,用酸中和工序a中得到的反应液,得到含有下述通式(4)所示的β-巯基羧酸和下述通式 (5)所示的步骤c,对通过步骤b得到的反应溶液进行蒸馏精制,得到通式(4)所示的β-巯基羧酸,工序df 或将包含步骤c中由通式(5)表示的化合物的蒸馏残余物返回至步骤a。
