摘要： A broadcast receiver and a 3D video data processing method thereof are disclosed herein. A 3D video data processing method of a broadcast receiver according to an embodiment of the present invention includes receiving, by a receiving unit, a broadcast signal including 3D video data and 3D complementary video information, wherein the 3D video data include half-resolution base video data and complementary video data for configuring a full-resolution image; parsing, by 3D video information processing unit, a 3D complementary video information; decoding, by a base video decoder, the half-resolution base video data; decoding, by a complementary video decoder, the complementary video data for configuring a full-resolution image; and combining and formatting, by an output formatter, the base video data and the complementary video data using the 3D complementary video information, thereby outputting a full-resolution 3D image.

The decoding method includes extracting a plurality of encoded signals from an input bitstream, determining which of a plurality of decoding methods is to be used to decode each of the encoded signals, decoding the encoded signals using the determined decoding methods, and synthesizing the decoded signals. Accordingly, it is possible to encode signals having different characteristics at an optimum bitrate by classifying the signals into one or more classes according to the characteristics of the signals and encoding each of the signals using an encoding unit that can best serve the class where a corresponding signal belongs. In addition, it is possible to efficiently encode various signals including audio and speech signals.

The processing method includes receiving a broadcast signal including system information (SI) and video data, parsing SI of a program, and determining whether the program provides a 3D broadcast service on the basis of the SI, extracting, if the program provides a 3D broadcast service, 3D broadcast data corresponding to the 3D broadcast service, and processing the 3D video data according to the SI. The broadcast receiver includes a receiving unit receiving a broadcast signal including SI and video data, an SI processor parsing system information of a program, and determining whether the program provides a 3D broadcast service on the basis of the SI, a demultiplexer extracting, if the program provides a 3D broadcast service, 3D broadcast data corresponding to a 3D broadcast service, and a video processing unit processing 3D video data according to the SI.

摘要： The present invention relates to a video signal processing method, comprising the steps of: receiving a multi-view coded bitstream including a color picture and a depth picture, the depth picture representing a set of numeric information on a distance between an object and a camera serving as a reference; acquiring data type identification information as well as depth range information from the multi-view video coded bitstream, the data type identification information indicating whether the multi-view video coded bitstream contains depth coded data, the depth range information representing information of maximum and minimum values in variances between two pictures at different visual points; according to the data type identification information, if the multi-view video coded bitstream contains the depth coded data, recovering the depth coded data; adjusting the depth range information by comparing the depth range information with a predetermined threshold range for changes of depth; and displaying 3D video by using the recovered depth coded data and the adjusted depth range information.
