    • The proposal is for a motor-pump assembly consisting of an electric motor (1) and a pump (2). The shaft (30) carries both the armature (26) of the electric motor and the eccentric (31) of the pump. The shaft is essentially supported by two pump bearings (6, 11) fitted on either side of the eccentric in the pump housing (3). To ensure that the third, motor bearing (25) is aligned with the two pump bearings, the motor housing is movably fitted above the pump housing. As, however, the first pump bearing (6) is secured to the end plate (21) before the electric motor is fitted, it is proposed that the holder have a clearance A such that the first pump bearing is unlosably secured to the end plate (21) before assembly. After assembly, i.e. when the first pump bearing is inserted into the corresponding recess in the pump housing (3), the end plate can be sufficiently moved to align the bearing with the pump bearing (6). The order of magnitude of the clearance is between 0.5 and 1 mm.
