    • A display (100) for generating an image with a perceived depth (104) of image pixels differing from the actual depth (103) of the image pixels (300), the display comprising: an array of microlenses (101) having a first pitch along a first direction (X); a plurality of arrays of light sources (102) underneath the array of microlenses, an array of light sources having a second pitch along the first direction, the second pitch differing from the first pitch; and means for addressing the plurality of arrays of light sources. Each array of light sources corresponds to one perceived image pixel, and each light source in an array is present underneath a different microlens. The means for addressing the arrays of light sources is adapted for addressing each light source in one array of light sources in unison.
