    • Onboard terminal device includes an own vehicle information acquisition section, a vehicle-to-vehicle communication section, and a collision risk determination section. The own vehicle information acquisition section acquires own vehicle information including position information of an own vehicle. The vehicle-to-vehicle communication section performs wireless communications with another vehicle to communicate the own vehicle information to the another vehicle and to receive another vehicle information, which includes position information of the another vehicle, from the another vehicle. The collision risk determination section determines a risk of collision between the own vehicle and the another vehicle by using a predetermined determination algorithm. The collision risk determination section sets priority of the own vehicle and priority of the another vehicle based on details of work, which the own vehicle and the another vehicle are performing, respectively, and changes the determination algorithm based on the priority of the own vehicle and the priority of the another vehicle.

    • A display controller of a construction machine, which allows an operator's compartment to have more room so that the operator can work more efficiently. The controller comprises a plurality of controllers (20, 22, 25) for controlling the operations of various sections of the construction machine according to information acquired from detector means provided on the corresponding sections, and a display device (26) for displaying the conditions of those sections of the construction machine. The controllers and the display device are connected through a common communication line (30). The display device (26) comprises input means (28) for instructing the switching of information indicating the conditions of the construction machine sections, and display means (27, 29) for reading display information corresponding to the instruction from the controller to display it.

    • A display unit for a construction machine is provided which allow for an operator to easily set a target plane or area in works to be performed under automatic control, and to freely change the contents to be displayed regardless of whether the machine is under the automatic control, so that information which the operator wants to see can be promptly displayed.
      A display 41 of a display unit 40 selectively displays a standard monitoring screen 60 for displaying attitude information of a body, an excavation setting screen 61 for displaying the setting states of depth and gradient of a target excavation plane for automatic control, and an excavation monitoring screen 62 for displaying, in enlarged scale, the relative position of a bucket relative to the target excavation plane set on the excavation setting screen. Each of those screens has a menu area 64 in which an item "SCREEN CHANGE" and items corresponding to associated screen information are set. A desired one of the items in the menu area 64 is selected by manipulating up and down selection keys 43a, 43b on an operating unit 43 to move a cursor in the menu area vertically, and the contents of the item displayed in reverse video is executed by depressing a decision key 43e. It is hence possible to easily set a target plane or area in works to be performed under automatic control, to freely change the contents to be displayed regardless of whether the machine is under the automatic control, and to promptly display information that the operator wants to see.
