摘要： A method for implementing multicast using slave access module (SAM) during digital subscriber line (DSL) accessing, cascading some SAM at master access module (MAM) of DSL accessing, connecting remote subscriber terminals at MAM and SAM respectively, and accessing subscriber to subscriber digital line through the remote subscriber terminal, uplinking through the network interface of MAM; configuring for said SAM, enabling MAM and SAM to support Internet groups managing protocol proxy or Internet groups managing protocol listening, MAM and SAM may implement multicast independently. The invention obviates disadvantages of the related art due to performing the operation of SAM multicast member on the MAM, resulting that MAM bears the burden heavily, lower efficiency, wasting bandwidth heavily, not only improving the multicast efficiency, but also saving the bandwidth of MAM.
