摘要： A safe moving walk which is capable of carrying passengers at high speed and operating even in the reverse direction. Even when passengers walk on the moving walk, there is no fear that they fall. Several independent boarding and alighting belts and accelerating and decelerating belts are provided in front and in the rear of the main circulating belt adjacently to one another in succession and moved in the same direction as that of the main belts. The speed of the accelerating belts on the boarding side is increased in the direction of operation, and the speed on the alighting side is decreased. The speed of the main belt is the highest. The belts on the boarding or alighting side are driven through the main belt.
