    • A method for manufacturing a tubular assembly (10). A first tube (14) is obtained. A first tubular connector (18) having first and second end portions (20, 22) is obtained. The first end portion (20) is metallurgically attached to the first tube (14). A tubular member (28) having a third end portion (30) is obtained. At least one of the second and third end portions (22, 30) includes an annular outward fold (22) including spaced-apart first and second fold portions (34, 36). The first tubular connector (18) and the tubular member (28) are positioned with the second end portion (22) aligned with and contacting the third end portion (30). A resistance welding current path is created through the first tubular connector (18) and the tubular member (28) proximate the second and third end portions (22, 30) and the second and third end portions (22, 30) are relatively and deformingly moved together, creating a weld zone which includes at least some of the second and third end portions (22, 30).
