摘要： A recording apparatus is provided, which includes: a conveying roller for conveying a recording material; a carriage moved in a direction that crosses a recording material conveying direction while being mounted with a recording unit; a first detecting unit placed on the carriage to detect a position of the recording material; an adjusting unit for measuring a position of the first detecting unit and calculating a difference between the detected position and a predetermined position; and a control unit for controlling a position of recording by the recording unit using the calculation result of the adjusting unit. Accordingly, the adjustment of the recording unit in relation to a sensor mounted to the carriage can be readily and accurately performed.
