摘要： The invention relates to a method for determining the position of a vehicle (1) which is bound to a network, in particular rail vehicle or overhead line-bound vehicle, – wherein a database containing a number of network paths (12a, 12b,…) which represent the network within which the vehicle (1) moves is made available in advance, – wherein a journey is made with this network-bound vehicle (1), and the movement path (2) of the vehicle (1) is determined, – wherein the movement path (2) is compared with the network paths (12a, 12b,…) stored in the database and examined for correspondences, – wherein in the event of the movement path (2) at least partially corresponding to a network path (12a, 12b,…) from the database, this network path (12a, 12b,…) is selected, and – on the basis of the determined correspondence, that point on the selected network path (12a, 12b,…) which is assigned to the point recorded last on the movement path (2) is determined and is used as the position of the vehicle (1).
