摘要： A boat trailer 10 comprises a base 12 of generally "U" shaped configuration and plan and has wheels 20 at or near the free ends of the "U". Traction means are adapted to be attached to the bight end of the "U" and means for supporting a boat and width adjusting means are provided at or near the bight end of the "U". The width adjusting means comprises transverse arms together forming the bight of the "U" positioned out of the plane of the base constrained to move in guide tube sections located at or near the point of attachment of traction means. Since the arms are positioned out of, or preferably below the general plane of, the base the amount of width reduction which is possible is very high typically of the order of 50% or more. In addition, the "U" shaped base member may be provided with lift and tilt mechanisms 28, 30 whereby the trailer can be levelled from side to side or front to back.
