摘要： To determine the polymerisation profile of a layer of polymeric material, in particular a coating of an optical waveguide, a source (1) sends a light radiation towards the layer under test (2) at different angles of incidence, and both the portion of radiation reflected by the layer (2) and the portion transmitted by the layer are converted into electrical signals. The electrical signals are supplied to devices (9, 10) for measuring their intensity, and a processing system (10) processes the intensity values to obtain a value of the refractive index at a different depth inside the layer (2) and to obtain the degree of polymerisation at each depth by comparison with the values of the refractive index of a precursor of the polymer and of the fully polymerised material.

摘要： The peripheral unit for multi-videoconferencing allows to realize a multi-videoconferencing system which, fully exploiting the characteristics of a telecommunications satellite, can also provide the service to users not connected to the ground network. In particular, the system allows to connect several remote rooms through a satellite network, interfaceable with a ground control centre, to realize an overall mixed ground-satellite network able to simultaneously serve both permanent and temporary users.
The peripheral unit is connected on one side to the transceiving station for the satellite link and on the other to the encoder and decoder of video and audio signals, which are generated locally or received from a remote station and organized according to a protocol provided with time-slot frames and superframes.

摘要： In an analysis-by-synthesis coder, the original speech signal undergoes small time shifts to match in time the signal to be coded with the replica produced by the long term synthesis filter. The shift is determined at each subframe by an exhaustive search within a range of possible values so as to minimize the error signal energy. Once the optimal shift has been determined, the optimal excitation is searched for. The excitation is chosen in a codebook containing words with very few pulses arranged in a deterministic structure, which words are all obtained from a limited number of key words. The deterministic codebook structure allows a fast search for the optimal excitation, without need of storing the codebook and actually performing the synthesis filterings of the candidate excitations.

摘要： The instrument measures optical fibre length by measuring the transit time of an optical pulse signal travelling said fibre. Time measurement is effected by an electronic counter which is cyclically started at the transmission of the optical signal and stopped at its reception. A microprocessor controls the light source so as to make it send the optical pulse signal at a repetition frequency quite uncorrelated with respect to that of the electrical signal counted by the counter. The time spent to travel the fibre is obtained by computing the arithmetic mean value over a great number of counting values supplied by the counter.
