摘要： An auto injector including: a housing; an outlet portion with a needle (110) moveable relative to the housing; a container (104) within the housing for containing medicament; and an actuatable deployment mechanism configured to deploy the outlet portion by moving the outlet portion relative to the housing and to eject medicament contained in the container through the outlet portion. The auto injector is configured to store a volume of fluid and includes a filling mechanism configured to expel the volume of fluid from the outlet portion and subsequently to draw medicament through the outlet portion and into the container. An adaptor (112) fits to the auto injector so as to cover the needle and includes a puncture member configured to puncture a vial, the puncture member providing fluid communication to the needle. The auto injector and adaptor are provided as part of an auto injector pack together with a vial containing a substance which in combination with the liquid forms the medicament and a casing configured to house the vial, the auto injector and the adaptor.

摘要： A dosing device comprising a dispensing means (24, 26, 12) for dispensing a dose material, and a dose actuation mechanism, in which the dose actuation mechanism (42) comprises a readily deflectable member (40), and a cascade of at least two pivoted elements (46, 48), movement of one causing movement of the other, wherein the deflectable member (40) is movable by the user, and its movement is transferred to the first of the cascade of pivoted elements, so as to actuate the dispensing means. A first biasing means (56) communicates with one pivoted element (48) so that as movement is transferred between the pivoted elements (46, 48), energy stored in the first biasing means (50) is released to increase the force associated with the movement. A dose actuating mechanism for use in a dosing inhaler is also provided.

The dose actuation mechanism (44) comprises a number of integrally hinged links (52, 54, 55) which are connected to each other at hinging points. A deflectable tongue (157), moveable in response to air flow from inhalation by a patient is attached to a first link (52), to move the first link in response to air flow, movement of the first link being transferred to a second link (54) to cause actuation of the dispensing means. The first link rests at an over-centre, or stable, position prior to operation, and moves under-centre during operation of the device to trigger movement of the second link. The dose actuation mechanism is a one-piece moulding from plastics material.

The flow cell has walls defining an internal passageway (4) having an extraction region (10) for holding the test product and also an upstream end (12) and a downstream end (14) between which the extraction region extends. The internal cross-sectional area of the upstream end is larger than the internal cross-sectional area of the downstream end the and extraction region tapers from the upstream end to the downstream end. The pump has an inlet in fluid communication with the downstream end and an outlet in fluid communication with the upstream end. The pump re-circulates extraction fluid from the downstream end back to the upstream end so as to progressively erode the test product and distribute the test product in the extraction fluid.

摘要： A foaming device for a drink including a housing defining an internal volume for housing secondary liquid and a source of foaming gas. A nozzle communicates between the internal volume and an exterior of the housing and a plug seals the nozzle so as to prevent communication between the internal volume and the exterior of the housing. By releasing the plug, the secondary liquid can be released into the drink such that the foaming gas forms bubbles of secondary liquid in the drink and proteins/constituents within one or both of the primary liquid and the secondary liquid denature so as to create a stable foam.
