The brake (50) of the first car (2) is so designed that it is triggered independently of the control panel (20) by means of the speed governor (1), based on a first combination of a distance and a relative speed between the first and second cars (2) or a second combination of the distance and a speed of the first car, and it is also triggered independently of the control panel (20) by means of the speed governor (1), based on a third combination of a distance from a terminal end of the shaft (4) to the first car (2) and a speed of the first car (2).

    • An air conditioner is disclosed which comprises: a fan motor (2) connected to a power supply (1); a motor drive unit (5) inserted between the power supply (1) and the fan motor (2); an open/close detection unit (6) for detecting opening/closing of an air outlet of an air conditioner body and keeping connection with a control source (Vcc1) at the time when the air outlet is closed; a power supply on/off unit (7) connected to the motor drive unit (5) in series for keeping connection between the power supply (1) and the fan motor (2) at the time when the control source (Vcc1) from the open/close detection unit (6) is supplied; signal transmitting means (8) which are adapted to output a signal indicating a cutoff of the control source (Vcc1) at the time when the supply of the control source (Vcc1) is cut off; display means (9); and control means (3) which are adapted to control the operation of the fan motor (2) through the motor drive unit (5). The power supply on/off unit (7) breaks off the connection between the power supply (1) and the fan motor (2) when the connection with the control source (Vcc1) is broken off by the open/close detection unit (6). The control means (3) are adapted to interrupt the power supply (1) to the fan motor (2) through the motor drive unit (5) and display stopping of the fan motor (2) on the display means (9) at the time when the signal is input from the signal transmitting means (8).
