    • The present invention encompasses an engine arrangement ('M'), with in any event two piston and cylinder assemblies, where a first piston (11 ) in a first cylinder (12), included in a first piston and cylinder assembly (1 ), is interconnected with a second piston (21 ) in a second cylinder (22), included in a second piston and cylinder assembly (2), and where each one of said piston and cylinder assemblies (1 , 2) each displays an inlet valve (13, 23) for the supply of a fuel mixture, and each an outlet valve (14, 24) for the removal of exhaust gases, said two piston and cylinder assemblies (1 , 2) being adapted for cooperation with a gear unit (5) converting a translation movement into a rotary movement. Two additional piston and cylinder assemblies (3, 4) with a third piston (31 ) in a third cylinder (32), included in a third piston and cylinder assembly (3), interconnected with a fourth piston (41 ) in a fourth cylinder (42), included in a fourth piston and cylinder assembly (4) with associated valves (33, 43; 34, 44), said two additional piston and cylinder assemblies (3, 4) being adapted for cooperation with said gear unit (5) converting a translation movement into a rotary movement, an outlet valve (14) for a first cylinder (12) being connectable to an inlet valve (33) for a third cylinder (32), and an outlet valve (24) for the second cylinder (22) being connectable to an inlet valve (33) for the fourth cylinder (42), and that the outlet valves (34, 43) for the third (32) and the fourth (42) cylinders are intended for removing exhaust gases.

    • The present invention encompasses a transmission arrangement (1 ) for translating a reciprocating translation movement, related to each of two gear rods (51 , 52), in mesh with its allotted gear wheel (10', 11 '), where a first gear rod and its associated first gear wheel (10') is representing a first prime motor arrangement (10), while a second gear rod and its associated second gear wheel (11 ') is representing a second prime motor arrangement (11 ), including its related freewheel bearing (7, 8). A gear wheel arrangement (4, 5, 6), including bevel gear wheels, is adapted to expose a first bevel gear wheel (4) in cooperation with said first gear wheel (10'), a second bevel gear wheel (6) in cooperation with said second gear wheel (11 ') and a third bevel gear wheel (5) adapted to mesh with said first and second gear wheels (4, 6), in order to adapt or to cause these first and second bevel gear wheels (4, 6) in different rotational directions. Said first bevel gear wheel (4) and its associated first gear wheel (10'), related to said first prime motor arrangement (10), are integrally formed as to form one first unit (100). Said second bevel gear wheel (6) and its associated second gear wheel (11 '), related to said second prime motor arrangement (11 ), are integrally formed as to form one second unit (200). Said first unit (100) and said second unit (200) are, via its related freewheel bearing (7, 8), pivotally supported by said shaft (2) at a first pivotal direction and fixedly or blockingly supported by said shaft (2) in an opposite second pivotal direction. Said first (100) and second (200) units are identically formed.
