摘要： A linear actuator is provided with a cylindrical bore with internal screw thread (2) and accommodated therein a screw means with external screw thread (3) connected to a rod (4). By turning these parts with respect to each other, a linear movement of the rod can be obtained. The internal space in the housing is sealed to the outside, and preferably filled with a liquid lubricant. Also, there is a space outside the bore (9) which is connected to the space inside the bore and which is at least partially bounded by a resilient, flexible wall part (14) for compensating volume changes in the bore due to the linear movement of the rod.

摘要： A device for the rotating or axially moving displacement of tubes or rods during the performance of processes thereon has two sets of planetary wheels (33, 34) one to the side of the other, the wheels of both sets having axes inclined with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis, so that the wheels of one set are inclined thereto oppositely to the wheels of the other set. The wheels (33, 34) engage the tubes or rods by friction and are freely rotatable about their own axes. The sets can be kept stationary or be rotated by drive means with the same or different speeds and even in mutually opposite directions to give a desired rotation, axial displacement or combination of both to the tubes or rods. The wheels (34) may be journalled in parts (35), which can move radially to adapt to tubes or rods of considerably differing outer diameters.

The axially elongatable elements are preferably electrically actuable by having a cylinder with internal screw threading and a piston with external screw threading, and an electric motor to rotate one of these parts so as to vary the length of the element.
