摘要： An array of electrodes is constructed to allow the user to easily adjust to the correct size of the patient's head. The array is self-adhesive, pre-gelled and disposable. The array fits easily over the temple and forehead areas where EEG signals can be acquired by specially designed monitors for purposes of monitoring a number of bodily phenomena, including but not limited to, depth of anesthesia, and/or ischemia, and burst suppression. The array is connected to the monitor via a tab connector that is integral to the disposable device. The tab connector is insertible into a reusable connector that is part of a monitoring system.

摘要： Disclosed is a physiological electrical signal connector system (20) with one connector (20a) connected to an electrode set (24) and another connector (20b) connected to a digital signal convertor (14) which leads to a patient monitor (10). 摘要： The invention pertains to a return flow shut-off device for an injection unit in an injection moulding machine. The device in question, which is fitted at the front end of a plastifier screw (1), comprises a screw tip (8), a blocking sleeve (3) and a blocking ring (2) with corresponding sealing and friction faces (4, 5, 6, 14). A section of at least one friction face (4, 5, 14) of the screw tip (8), blocking sleeve (3) and/or blocking ring (2) is formed by a protective layer of a metallurgical melt compound between the main body and an additive introduced or previously deposited. At least the main body of the screw tip (8) consists of a steel material. Additives such as metals are melted individually or in combination on the friction faces (14) of the screw tip (8). A mixed zone is situated between the main body and the additive-treated edge region, the mixed zone being thinner than the edge zone. Both zones consist of the material of the main body with controlled proportions of the additives. Both zones are formed from metallic mixed crystals and chemical compounds containing the substances of the main body and/or additives, the phases in the edge zone and mixed zone being set to defined concentration levels. The invention also pertains to a process for manufacturing a return flow shut-off unit of the type disclosed, whereby the surface to be treated is melted locally with the aid of an energy source acting on the main body with a mean power density of more than 103 W/cm2.

摘要： This invention is a novel urethral plug (1) comprising a cooperating shaft (12) and balloon (18), lying in coaxial engagement. The balloon (18) possesses a contracted shape for insertion and removal through the opening of the urethra, and a larger, expanded shape for blocking the flow of urine in the urethra, bladder neck, and bladder. After insertion such an expanded shape is achieved by inflation of the balloon (18) through the use of an external source such as a syringe which introduces fluid through an opening and into the shaft. The fluid acts upon a ball valve (22), thus pushing the ball past a valve seat, thereby permitting fluid to travel through the shaft and into the balloon (18). Fluid transmission continues until the balloon (18) is expanded to such an extent as to block the flow of urine.
