摘要： An improved comprehensive system for definition of velocities of acoustic energy of sedimentary rocks is provided. First, geophysical exploration data available in the prior art is collected and organized to be defined as sequences and to define velocity behavior within sequences, and used to obtain consistently reasonable levels of accuracy of velocity distributions known by those skilled in the art. The present invention is particularly attentive to seismic sequence definition and to sequence compaction behavior. Secondly, in accordance with the present invention, means and methods not heretofore known in the art are used to sample well, seismic and other sources of data, on an individual basis, to define to what extent normal compaction behavior and velocities, as previously determined, may have been locally altered by other factors. Improved techniques to recognize several factors capable of causing abnormal post depositional behavior both at points of velocity control and elsewhere in areas of hydrocarbon prospecting interest, are intrinsic to the invention, and are important features thereof.

摘要： The process of the invention for producing baked cereal goods comprises forming a dough including at least about 450 ppm by weight of ascorbic acid based on the total weight of dry ingredients, and fermenting and baking the dough. The process is particularly useful for producing a yeast leavened wheat bread from a dough comprising baking flour. The dough may also include vital wheat gluten, wheat germ having substantially no glutathione, and soybean flour or soya concentrate sufficient to provide a final baked bread containing from about 18 to about 25% by weight of protein. Additionally there is from about 450 to about 850 ppm by weight of ascorbic acid based on the total weight of dry ingredients and from about 5 to about 10% by weight of potassium bromate based on the ascorbic acid. Together with water those ingredients are formed into a dough which is fermented and baked.

摘要： The invention provides a liquid dispensing device suitable for dispensing water to plants disposed in a hanging basket or like plant holder. The device of the invention comprises a sealable bottle or like container for holding a reservoir of liquid, the bottle having an upper mouth and including a handle. A piston-cylinder pump is mounted sealed in the bottle mouth and has a feed tube arranged to dip into the lower portion of the bottle. Liquid from a reservoir held in the bottle can then be fed to the pump cylinder on an upstroke through a first valve arrangement adjacent the lower end of the cylinder. Also, the pump includes a hollow piston rod having a second valve arrangement adjacent the upper end thereof through which the pump on a downstroke can upwardly dispense liquid supplied to the cylinder from the reservoir via the first valve. The device includes an elongated dispensing tube reciprocable with the piston rod to receive liquid dispensed from the piston rod, and handle means to permit the rod and dispensing tube combination to be gripped and held steady with a hand. Then, when the rod and dispensing tube are held steady with one hand, and the container is held and reciprocated with the other hand, liquid can be pumped from the container reservoir and dispensed from the end of the dispensing tube remote from the container at a height well above the head of the operator.

The composition comprises succinyl peroxide admixed with a water-soluble stabilising agent which can function as a dehydrating agent but which does not react with succinyl peroxide, typically an inorganic compound in a partially hydrated form, which gives an acid pH in solution, for example, a partial hydrate of sodium or magnesium sulphate. The composition can be prepared by treating a paste of succinyl peroxide in water with a water-soluble dehydrating agent which does not react with succinyl peroxide, the dehydrating agent being employed in an amount sufficient to provide a dry mixture.
The composition of the invention can be stored at ambient temperature with minimal decomposition.
