This type of floor drain comprises an interior (4) surrounded by a frame (2) and having a flange (5) and bottom (6). The trap body 2 defines a flow channel 36 with the trap overflow 38a at a first end of the flow channel 36 and the trap outlet 40a at a second end of the flow channel 36 wherein end portions of the flow channel 36 extend at an angle to one another.
