摘要： An apparatus (10) for recovery of condensible vapors as components in waste gases which are to be flared, comprising a flare system, including a flare gas line leading to a flare stack. Inserted in the flare gas line is a gas-to-liquid heat exchanger (14), to cool the flare gases prior to passage to the stack. The cooling is to a selected temperature, where condensible vapors in the waste gases, the dew points of which are above the selected temperature, will condense. Means (42) are provided for separating the condensed vapors from the remaining flare gases. Thermostatic means are provided for stopping the circulation of the cooling liquid wheneverthe ambient temperature drops below the selected temperature.

摘要： An injector type cooling apparatus is disclosed wherein multiple flat liquid sprays are directed into a conduit of uniform cross-section to draw cooling air into and through the conduit for mixture with and heat transfer from the liquid. The discharge end of the conduit is fitted with mist eliminators, in addition, holes or slots fitted with mist eliminators are provided in the conduit roof or sides downstream of the liquid sprays. These holes or slots cause increased air flow which results in improved cooling apparatus performance.

摘要： To provide a countercurrent direct-heating heat exchanger achieving high heat exchange efficiency. A countercurrent direct-heating heat exchanger A exchanges heat by flowing a heating target fluid 1 and a heating medium 2 in opposite directions and making the heating target fluid 1 and the heating medium 2 contact each other directly. The countercurrent direct-heating heat exchanger A includes: a container 10; and one or a plurality of tilted plates 20 provided in the container 10 and each having a downstream edge portion 21 from which the heating target fluid 1 drops down. The downstream edge portion 21 of one, some, or all of the tilted plates 20 are each provided with a plurality of teeth 22. The heating target fluid 1 dropping down from the downstream edge portions 21 is cut with the teeth 22 to form strip-shaped gaps. As a result, an area of contact between the heating target fluid 1 and the heating medium 2 is increased to increase heat exchange efficiency.
