摘要： To provide a countercurrent direct-heating heat exchanger capable of suppressing wear of a container caused by a heating target fluid. A countercurrent direct-heating heat exchanger A includes: a container 10; a supply pipe 11 arranged horizontally in the container 10 and through which a heating target fluid 1 is supplied; an inlet 12 provided at an end portion of the supply pipe 11 and having an opening pointed vertically downwardly; and a flow guide 40 connected to the inlet 12. The flow guide 40 includes: a cylindrical body 41; and a guide plate 45 provided in the cylindrical body 41. The guide plate 45 is arranged so as to partition the interior of the cylindrical body 41 into a flow path 46a upstream of the supply pipe 11 and a flow path 46b downstream of the supply pipe 11 and has an upper end protruding into the supply pipe 11. The flow rate of the heating target fluid to be introduced into the upstream-side flow path 46a can be increased to allow suppression of flow rate deflection of the heating target fluid 1.

摘要： The combined heat exchanging and fluid mixing apparatus comprises a first conduit (44) for guiding a cool fluid through the first conduit and a second conduit (55) for guiding a hot gas through the second conduit. A heat conductive element (2) is arranged between the first conduit (44) and the second conduit (55) for transferring heat from the hot gas to the cool fluid. The heat conductive element has a length defining a maximum longitudinal extension (22) for a heat exchanging process in the apparatus. The apparatus further comprises a third conduit (45) for guiding an exhaust fluid. The third conduit (45) comprises an exhaust fluid inlet (46) for introducing an exhaust fluid into the apparatus for mixing of the exhaust fluid with the hot gas and for a chemical reaction of the so formed exhaust fluid/hot gas mixture in the second conduit (55). The third conduit (45) is provided with more than one openings (21) passing the exhaust fluid into the second conduit (55). The more than one openings are arranged within the maximum longitudinal extension (22) for a heat exchanging process in the apparatus and at substantially a same longitudinal position with respect to the second conduit (55).

摘要： The present invention provides a weir quench, an apparatus utilizing the weir quench and processes incorporating the same. The weir quench incorporates an inlet having an inner diameter (Di) and an upper chamber having an inner diameter (Duc), wherein the inlet inner diameter (Di) is at least 90% of the upper chamber inner diameter (Duc). The apparatus constitutes a reactor having an outlet with an inner diameter fluidly coupled with the weir quench inlet, wherein the ratio of the reactor oulet inner diameter (Dr) to the weir quench inlet diameter (Di) is greater than one. The weir quench, and apparatus are advantageously utilized in processes utilizing a limiting reagent.
