摘要： The invention relates to a motor-driven domestic appliance (1) capable of extracting the juice from fruits, typically citrus fruits, and delivering the juice into a vessel (4) positioned adjacent the main body of the appliance. In order to promote clean transfer of the juice into the vessel, and/or resist a tendency for the vessel to be moved away from the main body by reactive forces associated with start-up of the motor, the appliance is provided with a resiliently-loaded outlet duct (3) for the juice which engages with an opening (11) in a lid or cover (9) of the vessel. Preferably, the outlet duct comprises a substantially straight and hollow tube (5) supporting an outer collar (6) that is spring-loaded for outward axial motion relative to the tube; the collar and/or the tube being formed with retention means to prevent unwanted disengagement of the collar from the tube.

摘要： The present invention is for a worm press for extraction of plant and fruit juices, such as orange juice and grape juice. It is important that the pressing takes place at high pressure but that only small amounts of heat are developped. A worm press according to the invention has a housing with an inner circular cylindrical volume, wherein there is a worm screw. The housing has openings as required for the supply of plant material and feed in out of the remains after the extraction. The worm is correspondingly designed with a feed in section and an extraction section. Essential for the invention is the design of the worm threads in the extraction section and the adaption of the worm to the housing in this part thereof. The diameter of the central core (5) of the worm is essentially smaller in the feed in section than in the extraction section. Furthermore, the core diameter and the pitch of thread in the feed in section are preferably constant and the worm here works like a simple feed screw. In the extraction section the diameter of the core as well as the pitch of the worm thread (4) vary. Seen from the feed in section the diameter of the core increases and the pitch of the thread decreases. Furthermore, the core is so designed that its outer surface between the threads always is parallel with the axis of the worm and thus also with the inner cylindrical surface of the housing.

摘要： Embodiments related to juicing methods and apparatuses for extracting juice from food matter using juicer cartridges are described. In one embodiment, a juicer cartridge (200) may include one or more separate internal compartments. Food matter loaded into the juicer cartridge (200) may be compressed by a corresponding juicer (100) and expelled through an outlet (220) that may be sealed until activation. Food matter may be pre-sized according to various physical characteristics, and the juicer cartridge may be injected with a gas to enhance shelf life and reduce nutrient loss. The juicer may also be provided with "smart" functionality to provide safety features, track usage, and enhance the operator experience. Several embodiments of packing systems for preparing juicer cartridges are also described.
