摘要： A composite insulating and cladding panel has a backing sheet, a plurality of cladding parts, and a support grid between the backing sheet and the cladding parts. The cladding parts are mounted to the support grid and a body of insulating material such as insulating foam. The cladding parts are spaced-apart to provide gaps. The cladding parts may have any desired surface finish. The cladding parts provide a finished façade. The panel incorporates a support grid that transfers load directly to a building structural framework. The panels also have interengagable features that facilitate joining between a plurality of panels to form a finished façade.

摘要： A solar collector comprises a solar absorbing tube comprising enclosure enclosing an absorbing section, comprising a radiation absorbing plate and a tube, containing a working fluid in thermal contact with the plate. The tube extends out of one end of the tube and connects with a condenser wherein the thermal transfer fluid when in a vapor phase communicates with a fluid to be heated within an end fitting. The condenser of a tube is inserted into a thermal pocket sealingly engaged with a gasket within the pipe receiving portion of the fitting, whereby heat transfer can take place between the condensers of the pipes and a fluid flowing via path in the fitting. The pocket is sealed against ingress of heat exchange fluid flowing through the fitting.

A body of insulating foam overlies the vacuum insulating panels and the carrier. There are gaps between adjacent vacuum insulation panels and these gaps are filled with the foam. Alternatively, groups of VIP's may be positioned close to one another and gaps left at defined locations. These gaps may be used to provide regions at which the panel may be cut to a desired length without cutting through and VIP's. External markings such as cut-lines may be provided to indicated the location of these gaps.

The header 2 is mounted to the studs 41 in such a way as to accommodate limited vertical movement of the header 2 relative to the studs 41. Fixings 42,43 are screwed through the flanges 11, 12 of the header and extend to engage in the slots 6 in the stud flanges 4, 5. Indicating means may be provided on the flanges of the header to give a consistent fixing position.
