摘要： In a nitrogen generation process in which a stream of air is compressed in compressor 11, is cooled and has water vapour and carbon dioxide removed therefrom in a reversing heat exchanger 16, and is separated in a rectification column 24, a gaseous nitrogen product stream 30 is produced. A stream 36 of purified liquid nitrogen is withdrawn from the top of the column 24. The purified liquid nitrogen can be produced at a rate in excess of that made possible by the turbine 22 without reducing the efficiency of gaseous nitrogen generation.

摘要： A unit for producing an oxygen gas of a superhigh purity by deep freezing of the air, and an object of the present invention is to obtain a unit which is capable of dealing with sudden variations in the demand for an oxygen gas, by using both an expansion turbine and a liquid oxygen storage means as the refrigerating source. In this unit, a liquid oxygen storage means (23) is connected to an upper portion (14) of a rectifier, provided with a condenser (17) therein, via an introduction passage (23a) so as to cool said condenser with a liquid oxygen, and a lower portion (15) of the rectifier and an expansion turbine (31) for cooling a heat exchanger (7) are connected by an introduction passage (29). The raw compressed air is cooled to a super-low temperature in the heat exchanger, and then fed to the lower portion of the rectifier, in which the resultant air is further cooled with the latent heat of vaporization of a refluxing liquid nitrogen obtained in the condenser, to obtain liquid air having a higher oxygen content. This liquid air is introduced into the upper portion of the rectifier to separate a liquid containing oxygen alone from the liquid air, by utilizing a boiling point difference, and the remainder is discharged to the outside as waste nitrogen. The liquid oxygen is taken out through a conduit (32), and then gasified and taken out as a product oxygen gas through a conduit (35).

摘要： Apparatus for producing nitrogen gas of a super-high purity by subjecting air to supercooling, liquefaction and separation. It is an object of this invention to obtain an apparatus for producing nitrogen gas of a super-high purity, which does not require an expensive expansion turbine which frequently malfunctions. The apparatus according to the present invention is formed by connecting a liquid nitrogen storage means (23) via a first introduction passage (24a) to a fractionating tower (15), into which the outside air is introduced in the form of chilled, compressed raw air via an air-compressing means (9) and heat exchange means (13), (14); and this storage means (23) to the heat exchange means (13), (14) via a second introduction passage (24b). The raw air is cooled to a supercooled temperature by the heat loss in the evaporation of liquid nitrogen, and this air of a supercooled temperature is further cooled by the heat loss of evaporation of liquid nitrogen in the fractionating tower (15). The nitrogen is recovered in the liquid phase, and the oxygen is left in the liquid phase, by utilizing the difference between the boiling points thereof. The nitrogen gas thus obtained is mixed with the gasified liquid nitrogen from the liquid nitrogen storage means (23) to form the finished product, nitrogen gas.

The conventional cryogenetic liquefaction and PSA nitrogen gas producing apparatuses suffer many breakdowns, and the nitrogen gas obtained by these conventional apparatuses is expansive, but still has a rather low purity. In the apparatus ofthis invention, a fractionating tower (15) is connected to a liquid nitrogen storage means (23) by an inlet path (24) Compressed air at an ultra-low temperature, which is pumped into the fractionating tower (15) through an air compression means (9), an elimination means (12) and heat exchange means (13), (14), is further cooled by the heat of evaporation of the liquid nitrogen, so that nitrogen can be taken out in a gaseous state leaving oxygen in a liquid state, due to the difference in boiling point therebetween. The obtained nitrogen gas is mixed with vaporized liquid nitrogen from the liquid nitrogen storage means (23) to obtain the final nitrogen gas. Thus it is possible to produce nitrogen gas inexpensively and at a high purity, with hardly any mechanical failures.
