    • The fluorescence measurement system (100) includes a host apparatus and a self-contained, multichannel optical cartridge (200). The host apparatus includes a well plate receptacle (122), and a stage (130) having optical cartridge receptacles (132) that are elongate along one axis of the well plate (10). The stage (130) and the well plate receptacle (122) are movable relative to one another in the direction of the other axis of the well plate (10). The optical cartridge (200) engages with the optical cartridge receptacle (132) and includes a linear array of optical assemblies (210) each including an excitation light source (220), and an emission light detector (230) to generate an intensity signal. The optical cartridge (200) also includes, a memory (520) to store calibration information for each optical assembly (210). The host apparatus additionally includes a processor (510) to correct the intensity signal from each optical assembly (210) of the optical cartridge (200) using the calibration information received from the optical cartridge (200) for the optical assembly (210).

    • A fluorescent sensor 30 includes a detecting substrate 11, an indicator 17, a filter layer 14, a light blocking layer 18, and an LED chip 15. In the detecting substrate 11, a PD element 12 for converting fluorescence into electric signals is formed in wall surfaces 22 of a through-hole 21 which penetrates a first main surface 11SA and a second main surface 11SB. The indicator 17 is arranged inside the through-hole 21 and generates fluorescence of intensity corresponding to analyte density when the indicator receives excitation light. The filter layer 14 covers the PD element, transmits fluorescence and blocks excitation light. The light blocking layer 18, through which an analyte can pass, covers an opening of the first main surface 11SA of the through-hole 21. The LED chip 15 covers a region just below an opening of the second main surface 11SB of the through-hole 21, and generates excitation light.
