摘要： A process for producing a fine powder of a modified polytetrafluoroethylene through tetrafluoroethylene polymerization in an aqueous medium in the presence of a water-soluble fluorochemical dispersant, which comprises introducing a fluoroalkyl vinyl ether into the reaction system by the initiation of the polymerization at the latest to initiate the copolymerization thereof with tetrafluoroethylene and introducing a chain transfer agent into the system after at least 80 % of the tetrafluoroethylene to be polymerized has been consumed. The fine powder thus obtained has moldability, especially excellent extrudability, and excellent heat resistance.

摘要： In the emulsion obtained by forcedly emulsifying by applying a high shearing force on the water insoluble liquid in the presence of a small amount of emulsifying agent, at least one of fluorine-containing monomers being in the form of gas at ordinary temperature at atmospheric pressure is emulsion-polymerized stably and efficiently. An amount of the emulsifying agent is an amount which does not change the number of water insoluble liquid particles in the emulsion during the polymerization.

摘要： An interpolymer consisting essentially of units derived from vinyl fluoride and at least two highly fluorinated monomers, at least one of the highly fluorinated monomers introducing into the polymer a side chain of at least one carbon atom. Films from these interpolymers have substantially reduced haze, low surface tension, and can be made to form solutions in common polar organic solvents that are stable at room temperature. The extremely low surface tensions obtained with these interpolymer films provide enhanced stain resistance and improved release properties compared to polyvinyl fluoride or known vinyl fluoride interpolymers.

This modified polytetrafluoroethylene has good paste extrudability and can yield molded articles possessing excellent mechanical properties, particularly excellent pressure resistance.

摘要： Method for preparing modified PTFE by suspension, wherein as comonomers perfluoroalkylvinylethers in which the alkyl has from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and/or a perfluorodioxole are used, characterized by the following conditions:

a part of the comonomer, from 15 to 90% by weight of the total amount is to be fed at the beginning of the reaction; the remaining part of the comonomer is to be distributed during the reaction so as to obtain a constant speed of the comonomer incorporation in the polymer chain;
a perfluorinated surfactant and a buffering salt are used;
a persulphate with a reducing agent is used as initiator in such a ratio as to generate a part of the radicals from the redox reaction and another one from the persulphate thermal decomposition;
one operates with a polymerization pressure from 15 to 30 bar.
