    • When a print tape (8) to be used as the label (25a) of a first sheet desired by one user is printed with no cut and then predetermined conditions, e.g. "time out elapse", are satisfied, the label (25a) is outputted from a printer (6) in a cut state. When the other user instructs the printer (6) to make another label by auto-cut, the other label is cut and outputted. Even if the one user instructs the printer (6) subsequently to make the label of a second sheet by auto-cut to make a label (25) where the label (25a) of the first sheet is connected with the label of the second sheet intentionally, the label of the second sheet is cut and outputted.

    • There is provided a tape print device allowing use of, as a long-tape-shaped print medium, a label tape having a plurality of label regions as print objects arranged on a long support tape in the longitudinal direction of the support tape and a normal tape capable of printing at an arbitrary position of a long-tape-shaped image reception medium. The tape print device includes judgment means for judging whether the currently used print medium is the label tape or the normal tape and feed cut control means for cutting the print medium by performing feed cut operation after free-feeding it. The feed cut control means has free feeding amount control means for controlling the free feeding amount before cutting in the feed cut operation according to the judgment result of the judgment means.

A user can see a sample (207) of the seal of the fixed printing surface (111) and the sample (222) viewed via a sample window (206a) as an image of the printing result on a sample surface (206) on the opposite side of the printing surface.
