摘要： The disclosure relates to a meter for monitoring usage of power provided by a power transmission system to a site. The meter comprises: a meter module connected to a power feed associated with the power transmission system to provide readings relating to the power; a messaging module to provide messages to the power transmission system; a connection to an alternating current (AC) power supply; a rectifier circuit connected to the AC power supply to generate a direct current (DC) power signal; a capacitive circuit connected to an output of the rectifier circuit, the capacitive circuit including a capacitor for storing a voltage for temporarily providing replacement power for the rectifier circuit; and a switching regulator circuit connected to the output of the rectifier circuit and the capacitive circuit, the switching regulator converting the DC voltage signal to a stepped down voltage signal for the meter module.

摘要： A virtual sub-metering process using combined classifiers includes generating an electric power consumption signature database by receiving data from an electric power consumption measuring meter and auxiliary data from a building management system, and clustering the data. After the generation of the electric power consumption signature database, additional data from the electric power consumption measuring meter and the auxiliary data from the building management system is received, and this additional data is processed to generate a second steady-state load classification component. A second transient state component is extracted from the additional data. The steady-state load classification components and the transient shape components from the electric power consumption signature database, the second steady state load classification component, the second transient shape component, and control signals and status signals associated with the plurality of electric power consuming devices are correlated and combined.

摘要： Apparatus are described for monitoring the consumption of electricity supplied on a cable (20). The sensor includes an electricity sensor unit having at least one current transformer (21) housed in an electrically-insulative housing clampable over the cable to form an inductive, non-conductive coupling between the current transformer and the cable. The sensor unit includes an energy storage circuit (23) coupled to the current transformer and configured to generate power for the sensor unit, and a current measurement circuit (22) powered from the energy storage circuit and responsive to current induced in the current transformers to provide an output signal representative of the current that has flowed on the cable over a period of time. A switching circuit isolates and connects a burden resistor from and to the current transformer.

摘要： Apparatus for monitoring the voltage of electricity supplied on a cable (121) are described. The apparatus includes a sense electrode housed in an electrically-insulative housing to form a capacitive coupling (127) between the sense electrode and the cable. The housing may be of the clamp-on type. A sense capacitor (128) of known capacitance is included, which is electrically coupled to the sense electrode and a local ground..Suitable voltage measurement circuitry (126) is connected to the sense capacitor and is responsive to voltage produced across the sense capacitor to provide an output signal representative of the voltage on the cable. The measured voltage waveform can be filtered to give the fundamental of the supply voltage, which can eliminate or reduce the effects of changes in capacitance within one cycle. A secondary capacitive (130) coupling can be formed with a related neutral wire (122) to improve stability of the voltage waveform measurement.

摘要： An arrangement for use in a utility meter includes a non-volatile memory and an RF transceiver. The non-volatile memory has a first and a second port, the first port configured to obtain commodity consumption data. The radio frequency (RF) transceiver is configured to receive and RF signal from an external source and obtain energy from the RF signal and provide the energy to a bias voltage input of the non-volatile memory. The RF transceiver is further operable to perform a data transfer operation responsive to the received RF signal, the data transfer operation including a transfer of meter-related data between the non-volatile memory and the RF transceiver using the second port of the non-volatile memory.
