    • Rapid exchange vacuum fixture vibration system adapted for use with a vibration testing machine designed to move a surface (14) to induce vibration in a fixture (15) attached to a unit under test (17). The invention includes an adapter plate (16) attached, at a first surface (18), to the surface (14) of the vibration testing machine. A vacuum panel assembly (35), housing a vacuum pump (33), is included for creating a vacuum between the upper surface (22) of the adapter plate (16) and the lower surface (23) on the fixture (15) whereby the fixture (15) and the unit under test (17) attached thereto is secured to the adapter plate (16) and thereby secured to the vibration testing machine without using bolts or other hardware for clamping.
      Thus, the method of the invention includes the steps of attaching an adapter plate to the vibration machine; easily placing a fixture, with a unit under test attached, on the adapter plate; and evacuating the volume between the adapter plate and the fixture to create a holding force therebetween sufficient to hold the fixture to the adapter plate during vibration testing.

    • An apparatus for lifting an aircraft (10) may include a plurality of lifting mechanisms (74) mounted on a supporting surface (64). Each lifting mechanism (74) may be configured to impart an upward force (90) on a component (38) of the aircraft (10) for lifting the aircraft (10) off the supporting surface (64). The apparatus (10) may include a beam structure (100) configured to be mounted to the lifting mechanisms (74). The apparatus (10) may also include a lifting beam (140) suspended from the beam structure (100). A measurement device (178) may be mounted to the lifting beam (140) and may be configured to engage a jack point (54) associated with the component (38) to determine a weight of the aircraft (10) when the aircraft is lifted off the supporting surface (64).

    • In order to be capable of performing an axle bearing test that accurately simulates a normal traveling condition in which a dynamic load applies to the axle bearing, a bearing testing machine comprises: a testing machine shaft to which a bearing being a test piece is attached, the testing machine shaft being a rotation shaft extending in a Y axis direction being a horizontal direction; a rotational driving unit configured to rotate the testing machine shaft; a test piece holding unit configured to elastically holds the test piece; and an axle driving unit configured to drive the testing machine shaft in a vertical direction and in an X axis direction which is a horizontal direction orthogonal to the Y axis direction.
