摘要： Trigramin, a 72-amino acid polypeptide, has the following amino acid sequence: EAGEDCDCGSPANPCCDAATCKLIPGAQCGEGLCCDQCSFIEEGTVCRIARGDDLDDYCNGRSAGCPRNPFH. The molecule is a potent inhibitor of fibrinogen binding to receptors expressed on the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa complex in the membrane of platelets. Trigramin is thus a potent inhibitor of fibrinogen-induced human platelet aggregation. It is useful in inhibiting the formation of hemostatic platelet plugs.

摘要： Methods and products are provided for producing and/or purifying virtually any hybrid polypeptide molecule employing recombinant DNA techniques. More specifically, a DNA fragment coding for a protein molecule, e.g. a polypeptide or portion thereof, is fused to a DNA fragment coding for a binding protein such as the gene coding for the maltose binding protein. The fused DNA is inserted into a cloning vector and an appropriate host transformed. Upon expression, a hybrid polypeptide is produced which can be purified by contacting the hybrid polypeptide with a ligand or substrate to which the binding protein has specific affinity, e.g. by affinity chromatography. The hybrid polypeptide so purified may in certain instances be useful in its hybrid form, or it may be cleaved to obtain the protein molecule itself by, for example, linking the DNA fragments coding for the target and binding proteins with a DNA segment which codes for a peptide which is recognized and cut by a proteolytic enzyme. The present invention also relates to certain vectors useful in practing the above process as well as to a bioreactor and methods employing the bound hybrid polypeptide, e.g. where the bound target polypeptide is contacted and reacted with a sustance which interacts with the bound target polypeptide to produce a desired result.

摘要： Four novel cell lines, ATCC #HB-8862 through ATCC #HB-8865 produce monoclonal antibody to human plasma prekallikrein. At least three of the antibodies also recognize plasma kallikrein, specifically the heavy chain thereof, and kallikrein-Cl-inhibitor complex. The antibodies do not cross-react with tissue kallikrein. The hybridomas are formed by fusing spleen cells from immunized BALB/c AnSkh mice with SP2/O-Agl4 myeloma cells. Diagnostic, therapeutic and biochemical uses of the monoclonal antibodies are provided.

摘要： Two novel hybridoma cell lines, ATCC #HB-8397 and ATCC #HB-8398 produce monoclonal antibody monospecific to a single determinant shared by a set of three closely related cytoplasmic antigens of Candida albicans. The antigens have molecular weights of 120-135 Kd, 48-52 Kd, and 35-38 Kd. The hybridomas are formed by fusing splenocytes from immunized BALB/c mice with SP2/0-Ag 14 myeloma cells. Monoclonal and monospecific, polyclonal antibodies to these cytoplasmic antigens find application in the im- munodiagnosis of Candida infections. A procedure is provided for preparing partially purified cytoplasmic antigen of pathogenic Candida species for administration to splenocyte-donating mice. Also provided is a method for the biochemical purfication of cytoplasmic antigen of a pathogenic Candida species used for the preparation of monoclonal and monospecific, polyclonal antisera thereto.
