    • In a wireless communication apparatus arranged by an indoor unit, an outdoor unit, and a cable used to connect the indoor unit with the outdoor unit, a gain of an amplifier is automatically set. This amplifier amplifies a lowered level of a signal caused by a cable loss. To perform such an automatic gain setting operation, a cable loss equalization system is used in this wireless communication apparatus. The cable loss equalization system compensates for a reduction in a level of a main signal caused by the cable. The indoor unit comprises: an amplifier for amplifying at least one of a main transmit signal and a main receive signal; a first power source for supplying a first power source voltage to the indoor unit and a second power source of the outdoor unit; transmitting means for transmitting the first power source voltage via the cable to the outdoor unit; receiving means for receiving a second power source voltage supplied to the second power source of the outdoor unit from this outdoor unit; and a first control unit for measuring a voltage difference between the first power source voltage and the second power source voltage to thereby perform a gain setting operation of the amplifier.

    • A system is provided implementing an extremely high speed link allowing selection of either twisted pair (or like media) and fiber media in a single local area network to provide a high speed multimedia local area network. A high speed transmission link for twisted pair, coaxial cable media or the like is provided including a transmitter with a conversion device for receiving fiber optic data interface signals intended to drive a fiber optic data interface and for converting said fiber optic data interface signals into high speed transmission link signals of a form suitable to drive a shielded twisted pair medium. A receiver is provided including reconversion means for regenerating the signal received from the shielded twisted pair medium back to an adequate signal level. The transmitter conversion means includes a buffer cooperating with an equalizer and a filter for forming the high speed transmission link signal. The equalizer provides frequency domain compensation for the characteristics of the shielded twisted pair medium. The filter rejects signals outside a band of data signaling. The receiver reconversion means includes a filter connected to said twisted pair medium to reject signals outside a band of data signaling, a buffer for regenerating the signal received from the shielded twisted pair and filtration by said filter and regenerating the signal back to an adequate signal level and a low frequency restoration circuit which employs a decision feedback technique for the compensation of the media coupling circuit's low frequency response.

    • In a digital mobile communication system, a plurality delay elements (1 to 4) sequentially receive and delay data and a plurality of amplifiers (5 to 9) receive the data from the respective taps of the delay elements and weight them. An adder (10) adds the weighted signals from the amplifiers and a discriminator (11) provides a reference signal presumed based upon the added signal from the adder. An operation and updating device (13a, 14) operates the gain of at least one of the amplifiers by a sequential LMS method and updates the gain of the amplifier each time when.a data is inputted into the delay elements. As a result of this, a digital mobile communication system having a high transmission rate using the LMS method can be provided.

    • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schaltungsanordnung zur Gewinnung des Regelkriteriums für die Einstellung adaptiver Entzerrer bei digitaler Datenübertragung, bestehend aus einem regelbaren Entzerrer.
      Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, einfache Schaltungsmöglichkeiten anzugeben, die ein Regelkriterium liefern, das gegenüber kurzzeitigen Störimpulsen verhältnismäßig unempfindlich ist und mit vertretbarem Schaltungsaufwand realisiert werden kann.
      Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch eine Schaltungsanordnung gelöst, bei der dem regelbaren Entzerrer (2) der Entscheider nachfolgt, anschließend ein erster Integrator (4) geschaltet ist, dem eine Differenz-Schaltung (5) nachfolgt, die auch von einem Sollwertgeber (6) gespeist ist, und der Differenz-Schaltung (5) ein zweiter Integrator (7) folgt, dessen Ausgangssignal die Stellgröße für den regelbaren Entzerrer (2) bildet. Die Regelung erfolgt so, daß das mittlere Tastverhältnis am Ausgang des Entscheiders auf einen vorzugebenden Sollwert geregelt wird.
