One end of the damper device (121, 122) is connected to a clutch hub (16), and the other end is connected to the output member (30). The clutch (10) and the damper device (121, 122) are aligned on the axis of the housing (2).

When heat resulting from clutch temperatures exceeding normal operating temperatures and conducted to the fitting (112) and the device (110) is sufficient to melt the fuse material (124), the plug (120) is ejected from the escape port (116) by the fluid pressure communicated from the cylinder (30) to the bore (104). The pressurized oil supplied to the first oil pressure chamber (6) is then discharged and the engagement is released.
