摘要： A closure 9 for the open mouth 2 of a container includes a main body 8 and sealing means which extends around the periphery of the main body. The sealing means has a sealing edge 17 which is adapted to engage a sealing surface formed on the container, and a resiliently flexible web 16 which connects the sealing edge to the main body. The web is movable between a relaxed condition (Figure 1), in which the diameter of the sealing edge 17 is at a maximum, and a sealing condition (Figure 13), in which the diameter of the sealing edge 17 is less than maximum. When the closure operatively closes the opening 2 in the container the web 16 is moved to the sealing condition, and the resilience of the web material serves to press the sealing edge 17 against the sealing surface 1. Preferably the web 16 in its relaxed condition has a frusto-conical form which diverges upwardly and the sealing edge 17 is formed on the upper and outer edge of the web 16.

A parting groove (60) is positioned within the skirt assembly (34) in conjunction with a tear ring (42) which functions to remove the primary latching assembly following the initial closure of the container with the lid (20). Prior to such removal, the primary latching assembly includes an interference lug having a compression section which engages the upwardly disposed surface (86) of an engaging groove (84) formed within the rim structure (82) of the container. After removal of the primary latching assembly, a secondary latching arrangement is maintained which includes the upper skirt portion (64), a generally semi-cylindrically shaped rim interior portion having a bead conforming surface (94) nestable in seating adjacency with the upwardly disposed container rim bead (90) and a detent defining ridge (102) formed integrally with the skirt upper portion interior surface at a location for snap-on engagement with the rim structure (82) of the container.

摘要： The lid of the invention is suited to be closed by pressure on containers for electric accumulators, without the need for welding or gluing.
Said lid (4; 20) presents two perimetric edges (5, 6; 21, 22), each of which goes to contrast against the vertical walls (3,11; 24) of the container (1; 25) by means of at least a projection (7, 9; 23) forming a continuous tightening cord. Moreover, on at least one of the two edges (5,6; 21,22) a cog (8,10; 26) is foreseen, said cog being seated in an indentation of the container, thereby preventing it from coming out.
The container is of the type obtained with the blow-moulding process and its presents at its upper edge a perimetric indentation (24) or impression (2) with an identation (11) suited to block at least one cog belonging to one of the two lid edges.
The lid has an external edge which does not protrude in relation to the overall surface of the container.
By elastically deforming the edges, it is however possible to remove the lid from the container without causing any damage.

摘要： The present disclosure, in one embodiment, relates to a packaging assembly for holding liquids, viscous material, or particulate material. The packaging assembly includes a carton having side and bottom walls and an open top. A self-supporting plastic liner fits inside of the carton and is for containing liquids, viscous material, or particulate material. The liner has a side wall, a closed bottom end, and an open top end having an outwardly-projecting rim. The rim has a radially-extending flange portion, and a dependent skirt portion. When the self-supporting plastic liner is inside of the carton, the dependent skirt portion of the rim hangs over the side walls of the carton. A lidding material is removeably affixed to the rim of the plastic liner. A carton lid closes off the open top of the carton.
