wherein R 1 and R 4 are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; R 2 and R 6 are each a monovalent group; R 3 is an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; R 5 is an alkyl group or an aryl group; R 7 is an alkylene group, an arylene group or a bivalent organic group having at least one alkylene bonded to at least one arylene; Ra is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; X is a single bond or an alkylene group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; Z is a hydrogen atom or a group that can be eliminated upon coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent; and m is an integer of 0 to 4.

摘要： A magenta-forming photographic coupler is a pyrazolo triazolo of general formula.
where R 1 + R 2 are each H, halogen or various aliphatic or cyclic substituents; X is H or a coupling releasable group; or R 1 , R 2 or X may form a bis-coupler; or R, or R 2 may link to a vinyl group of a vinyl monomer to form a polymer coupler. 72 specific couplers are shown, and six synthesis methods. The coupler may be in a silver halide emulsion layer of a photographic material or in a primary amine color developing solution. The material may include other magenta couplers, and/or a phenoxy derivative as a dye stabilizer. Color development produces good magenta image free from subsidiary yellow absorptions.

摘要： 5-pyrazolone magenta dye-forming couplers blocked with a coupler group which yields an alkali-soluble or colorless reaction product are disclosed. The coupler group is joined via its coupling position to the enol oxygen of the 5-pyrazolone and is displaced therefrom during processing as a result of reaction by means of oxidized color developing agent to thereby activate the 5-pyrazolone coupler. These couplers have good reactivity and good resistance to aerial contaminants, such as formaldehyde, and can be incorporated in photographic emulsions and elements. The couplers can be incorporated in silver halide emulsions, and the emulsions can be coated on supports to prepare photographic elements.
