摘要： A method of generating an oxygen-enriched gas for a user via an oxygen generating system is disclosed herein. The oxygen generating system includes at least one sieve bed having a nitrogen-adsorption material disposed therein, the nitrogen-adsorption material being configured to adsorb nitrogen from a feed gas introduced thereto, thereby generating the oxygen-enriched gas therefrom. The at least one sieve bed has an internal gas pressure within a volume defined by the at least one sieve bed. The method includes measuring the internal sieve bed pressure, measuring an ambient atmospheric parameter, and detecting inhalation of the user. The method further includes selectively controlling, substantially in real time, delivery of the oxygen-enriched gas to the user based on at least one of the internal sieve bed gas pressure measurement, the ambient atmospheric parameter measurement, the inhalation detection, or combinations thereof.

摘要： A membrane for gas separation includes a porous support layer and a separation layer. The separation layer comprises a mixture of one or more saccharide derivatives and one or more homopolymers. The saccharide derivative(s) may have a cyclic structure with five or six ring atoms, or a linear structure, or may include monosaccharide derivatives which are bound via glycoside bonds, and the number of monosaccharides bound in this manner may be 2 to 1,000. A membrane can be produced by preparing a homogeneous solution which comprises a saccharide derivative and a homopolymer in a solvent; and pouring the homogenous solution onto a support layer. The membrane may be used in a gas separation module the operation of which makes use of the membrane.

摘要： Component gas is separated from a gas mixture. Component gas flow rate, or demand, is determined. One or more gas separator operating parameters is changed based on the component gas flow rate. For example, gas flow rate can be approximated by measuring a rate of pressure decay of a product tank during a time period in which the tank is not being replenished by the separating system. When it is determined that the flow rate is relatively low, operating parameters of the separating system are changed to improve system performance with the lower demand. For example, a target product tank pressure at which sieve beds are switched can be lowered when demand is lower.

The detection systems (140) are adapted to detect a measured temperature associated with adsorbent (100) in an adsorbent bed of a PSA assembly (73) and to control the operation of at least the PSA assembly responsive at least in part thereto, such as responsive to the relationship between the measured temperature and at least one reference temperature.
