    • A coolant feeding device of a machine tool in which coolant is fed from a feed pump (4) through a feed line (7) to a mist generating device (13) located at the tip of a spindle (8), comprising a coolant sucking and delivering means (2) having a cylinder chamber for coolant (29) and a cylinder chamber for compressed air (28) formed opposedly to each other, pistons (30 and 31) corresponding to these cylinder chambers, and a compression spring (32) for forming these pistons integrally with each other and pressing them against their cylinder chambers in a specified direction, whereby, when the coolant feed pump stops feeding coolant, the coolant sucking and delivering means sucks a specified amount of coolant from the inside of the coolant feed line, thus preventing liquid from dripping and also, when the coolant feed pump starts feeding coolant, the coolant sucking and delivering means feeds a specified amount of coolant to the inside of the coolant feed line, thus reducing a time delay until mist occurs.

    • A boring control method for a machine tool for automatically boring a deep hole using central control means performing boring with programmed control. In the boring, the number of processing and steps of the machine tool is kept minimum, load torque of a tool is detected continuously using torque detection means, and the movement of the tip portion of the tool desired for a piece of work is confirmed from a reference point to a hole bottom using a Z-axis movement device. The boring is continued in each step until the load torque exceeds a predetermined torque limit value, performed in a condition where a main shaft rotation number, or rotation speed of the tool, and feed speed form a specific pattern, and a condition is set where a total step number (f) does not exceed a predetermined limit step number (N).
