    • A reversible actuation linkage (50) is associated with a control lever (40) which determines the speed and direction of travel of a hydrostatically driven tractor (10). The control lever (40) is mounted at a fixed position relative to an operator's station (22) which is pivotally supported to permit orientation of the operator in a selected one of opposing directions. The linkage (50) includes a cable actuator (52) which is pivotally connected to a fixed linkage mechanism (56, 57, 59, 61). The actuator cable (52) includes a clevis (55) which is mounted for pivotable movement about a vertical pivot axis coinciding with the axis (27) about which the operator's station (22) is rotatably movable. As a result, the actuator cable (52) reversibly effects operation of the hydraulic system (65) to effect movement of the tractor (10) in the direction corresponding to the direction of movement of the control lever (40) irrespective of the rotated position selected for the operator's station (22).

    • A transmission neutralizing system for a vehicle includes a transmission control mechanism (28) movable between at least two opposed drive positions and an intermediate neutral position. The transmission control mechanism (28) has an arm and roller combination (60, 70) movable therewith and a control element (72) movable between engaged and disengaged positions. The control element (72) has an arcuate cam surface (73) to engage the roller (70) and urge the transmission control mechanism (28) toward the neutral position when the vehicle parking brake (8) is engaged. A fluid motor (76) responsive to fluid pressure in the parking brake circuit (8) moves the control element (72) to a disengaged position against the bias of a spring (84) to allow free movement of the transmission shift control mechanism (28) between the neutral and drive positions, when the vehicle parking brake (8) is disengaged.
