摘要： Apparatus is provided for recording cue data identifying characteristics of information recorded in tracks (2) on a magnetic tape (1), for example, the cue data identifying the beginning, the end and various predetermined portions of programme material, such as an audio programme or a video programme. The recorded information is played back, and a cue signal generator (7, 8) generates respective cue signals upon the occurrences of respective ones of the predetermined characteristics in the played back information. For example, one type of cue signal is generated when the beginning of the programme is played back, another type of cue signal is generated when the end of the programme is played back, and various respective cue signals are generated when different predetermined portions of the programme are played back. In addition to generating the cue signals, code signals having a predetermined relationship with the played back information also are generated. For example, the code signals may represent the relative locations on the magnetic tape (t) at which the predetermined characteristics (for example, the beginning, the end and predetermined portions) of the programme are recorded. A memory (7) stores the code and cue signals, and a format circuit produces cue data in a predetermined format as a function of the stored code and cue signals. The cue data in this predetermined format is then recorded on the magnetic tape (1) in a track (3a, 3b) which differs from the tracks (2) in which the information is recorded. Alternatively, the cue data is recorded on a disc record, such as a master disc from which replicas subsequently may be made.

When a capturing key of a tuner unit (1) is depressed, a first system controller (7) stores the text information, received currently by an FM multiplexed text broadcasting receiving tuner (3), in a capturing buffer region (5B) of a memory (5). When the disk title of an MD-MO (11) is to be inputted, a title inputting mode is established, and the disk is selected as an input target unit. Thereafter, when a call key and an ENTER key are depressed, the first system controller (7) stored the captured text information in a title inputting region (5C) of the memory (5) in such a way that the information corresponds to the disk which is the input target unit. Thereafter, when the ENTER key and a title inputting key are depressed, the first system controller (7) sends the contents of the title inputting region (5C) to an MD recorder unit (10) and a second system controller (17) records the contents in a UTOC area of the MD-MO (11) before the ejection.
