    • A progressive wave motor has a vibrator unit (10) comprising a resilient member (2) which is secured to and supported by a centre shaft (7), a piezo-electric vibrator (3) connected to one side of and disposed concentrically of the resilient member (2) so as in operation to effect vibration of the latter in a primary vibration mode, a movable member (1) which is in pressure contact with the vibrator unit (10) so as to be moved thereby as a result of the said vibration, at least one electrode (3a) on the piezo-electric vibrator (3), and an electrical lead (4) for the or each electrode (3a), the or each lead (4) being connected to the respective electrode (3a) for the transmission of an electrical input signal to the piezo-electric vibrator (3). The motor is characterised in that the or each lead (4) is connected to its respective electrode (3a) at a point within the radially inner half of the piezo-­electric vibrator (3).

    • A wireless actuator has a structure in which movement of a movable table (2) can be controlled on a base (1) without connecting a power supply cable or a signal cable to the movable table, and even when the plurality of movable tables are provided, each of the movable tables can be independently controlled. The wireless actuator includes a track rail (30, 80), a slide member (31, 81) movable along the track rail, a drive means (4) which is mounted on the slide member and which allows the slide member to travel with respect to the track rail, a radio receiver portion (70) which is mounted on the slide member and which receives a drive control signal for the drive means, a control unit (6) which generates the drive control signal and transmits the drive control signal to the radio receiver portion, and a non-contact power supply means (5) which includes a primary side member (50) provided to the track rail and a secondary side member (51) provided to the slide member and supplies electric power from a side of the track rail to the drive means and the radio receiver portion which are mounted on the slide member.

    • An ultrasonic motor of the invention having a vibrating body 3 and a moving body 11 is supported by a supporting component 7. The rounded lower end of the supporting component is supported in a tapered dent of a supporting base 10. and therefore when a side pressure is applied, it inclines to the supporting base so as to keep stably the contact between the vibrating body and moving body. As a result, a stable motor rotation is always obtained regardless of side pressure. The lead wire 8 is held between a metal elastic element 1 and supporting component, and is pressed against the elastic element. Hence, the lead wire, through contact with the elastic element, is electrically coupled to the common electrode on the upper surface of the piezoelectric element without soldering and without use of conductive resin.
