摘要： A control apparatus is configured to control a brake of a unit hauled by a vehicle. The vehicle includes a plurality of brakes for braking the wheels of the vehicle, a trailer brake for braking the hauled unit, and a parking brake for keeping the vehicle braked while it is stationary. The control apparatus includes a line for sending a fluid to the trailer brake through a control valve in order to brake the hauled unit in certain working conditions, a further line for sending a further fluid to the trailer brake in order to activate the trailer brake in other working conditions, and a valve device for controlling flow of the further fluid in the further line, the valve device being responsive to a signal indicative of the status of the parking brake.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for braking a combination of a plurality of vehicles coupled to one another, wherein the vehicles each have electronically controlled brakes, particularly electropneumatic brakes, a stability system for detecting a tipping danger, at least one electronic switching unit ECU, and a data interface for receiving and transmitting data, and wherein if a tipping danger for one of the vehicles is detected, it is automatically braked, more particularly, the outer wheels on a curve are braked. According to the invention, if a tipping danger for one vehicle is detected, a signal is transmitted via the data interface, from which it can be seen that the stability system of the tipping-endangered vehicle is active, and the leading vehicle is then automatically braked.

摘要： In a vehicle combination consisting of a haulage truck (1) and a semitrailer (2) the brake system of the haulage truck (1) comprises a control valve (8) which allows the brake pressure imparted to the brakes (4) of the semitrailer (2) to be adapted to the brake pressure imparted to the brakes (3) of the haulage truck (1). The adaptation is carried out by means of an electrical control unit (16), in which the actual deceleration of the vehicle during a braking sequence is compared to an expected deceleration. In the event of a discrepancy between these, a control member (15) on the control valve (8) is actuated automatically so that the semitrailer (2) is supplied with a higher or lower brake pressure relative to the haulage vehicle (1) depending on whether the actual deceleration was lower or higher than the expected deceleration. The adaptation means that the brakes of the haulage truck (1) and of the semitrailer (2) can be used better under various operating conditions.

摘要： An electronic braking system in a motor vehicle capable of towing a standard trailer not having its own EBS system has a separate pressure control channel for the generation of a trailer service brake pressure signal in the event that a driver's braking demand is sensed at any axle of the towing vehicle. The pressure signal level is set in the towing vehicle so as to be a function of the driver's electrical demand signal modified in dependence upon the load exerted by the trailer on the towing vehicle as measured at a towing link therebetween. Separate adaptive loops are provided in respect of the towing vehicle braking and the trailer braking, with the towing vehicle adaptive loop being responsive to deceleration error established by a comparison of vehicle retardation against driver braking demand, and with the trailer adaptive loop being responsive to towing link load, such as to obtain error signals which cause the adaptive adjustments to be made in the two loops in a mutually co-ordinated manner in order to achieve the required overall vehicle retardation.
