    • A cutting machine for cutting a work piece with a rotating cutting tool comprises an outer case member and an inner case member. The inner case member is placed within the outer case member and is assembled to the outer case member, wherein a through hole is formed in the outer case member and the inner case member. A holder is placed within the inner case member for holding the work piece. A first horizontal rotary shaft passes through the through hole and rotatably supports the holder. A second horizontal rotary shaft is fixed at the outer case member and extends in a direction orthogonal to the first horizontal rotary shaft. A first motor for rotating the first horizontal rotary shaft is provided, wherein the first motor is coupled to the first horizontal rotary shaft. A second motor for rotating the second horizontal rotary shaft is provided so as to rotate the holder, the first horizontal rotary shaft, and the first motor along with the outer case member around the second horizontal rotary shaft.

      wherein the support head component (30) includes first and second support portions (30a, 30b) respectively including first and second support shafts (32, 37b, 38b, 39b) disposed such that axes of the first and second support shafts (32, 37b, 38b, 39b) are aligned with the rotary axis line and that the first and second support shafts (32, 37b, 38b, 39b) face each other with the spindle unit (20) interposed therebetween, wherein the index mechanism includes a drive motor (33) including a motor rotor (33a) and a motor stator (33b), the motor rotor (33a) being disposed concentrically with the support shaft (32, 37b) around the support shaft (32, 37b) within a housing (31a) of the support head component (30) and surrounding the support shaft (32, 37b), and wherein the index mechanism is disposed at one of the first and second support portions (30a, 30b).
