摘要： The invention pertains to a method for obtaining a cord with high fatigue resistance, made of a multifilament aramid yarn obtained by the steps comprising: a) spinning a solution of an aromatic polyamide into a coagulation bath; b) optionally neutralizing and washing the resulting multifilament yarn; c) treating the yarn on-line with a curable epoxy compound, optionally together with or followed by treating the yarn with at least one alkaline curing agent; d) obtaining the yarn having a free epoxide content of not more than 10 mmoles/kg; e) converting the yarn to a cord; g) treating the cord with a coating which is adhesive to rubber and rubber-like materials and different from the curable epoxy compound, characterized in that the cord is subjected to a further process f) comprising the step of treating the cord with a curable epoxy compound between steps e) and g).

摘要： It has been found that fibres which incorporate very good mechanical properties as well as very good adhesive properties can be made from an optically anisotropic spinning solution containing a mixture of a paraphenylene groups-containing wholly aromatic polyamide component and another polyamide component if for the para-aromatic polyamide component full or partial use is made of copolymer in which 2,6-naphthylene units are present in addition to the paraphenylene units and the other polyamide component is an aliphatic polyamide. Preferably, the weight ratio of the para-aromatic polyamide component to the aliphatic polyamide component is 95:5 to 85:15. The aromatic copolyamide containing paraphenylene and 2,6-naphthylene is preferably obtained by polymerising paraphenylene diamine (PPD) and a stoichiometric amount of a mixture composed of terephthalic acid dichloride (TDC) and 2,6-naphthylene carboxylic acid dichloride (NDC) in a molar ratio TDC:NDC of 99:1 to 80:20.

摘要： The invention pertains to a composite material comprising PPTA (poly-p-phenyleneterephthalamide) and nanotubes having an aspect ratio of at least 100 and a cross sectional diameter of 5 nm or less, the composite material containing up to12 wt.% of nanotubes, obtainable by adding the nanotubes to sulfuric acid, decreasing the temperature to solidify the mixture, adding PPTA to the solid mixture, heating to above the solidifying point and mixing the mixture, and spinning, casting, or molding the mixture to the composite material. The process comprises the steps: a) adding nanotubes having an aspect ratio of at least 100 and a cross-sectional diameter of 5 nm or less to sulfuric acid at a temperature above the solidifying point of the sulfuric acid; b) decreasing the temperature to below the solidifying point of the sulfuric acid and mixing for a sufficient time to solidify the mixture; c) adding PPTA to the solid mixture; and d) heating to above the solidifying point and mixing the mixture.
