摘要： An exercise device includes a pivot frame rotatably mounted to a base support along a pivot axis, wherein a pivot brace forms a rotatable connection between the pivot frame and the base support. The pivot frame is formed with two pivot frame ends which are disposed at an angle with respect to a location of the pivot brace. A user position a portion of his body between the ends. The pivot frame includes a plurality of pulley sheaves or wheels operative to transmit energy from the user through one or more cables. One or more handles or grips, each grasped by the hand of a user, are connected to the cable, which extends in substantially opposite directions from the grip. Resistance means comprises a housing connected to the pivot frame operable to rotatably receive a spool to take-up the cable, and which imposes a resistance to the free rotation of the spool, the resistance imparted to the user for therapeutic benefit.

摘要： A method for providing a resistance to an exercise apparatus with an inertia resistance wheel and a resistance-providing apparatus employing the same wherein a temporary removal of the resistance produced by the resistance-providing apparatus is achieved when a crank of the exercise apparatus is located in the range of the force-application dead point. The resistance-providing apparatus provides the original and prearranged exercise resistance when the crank is situated in a better force-acting range. In this way, the exercise process is more smoothly operable. Moreover, an expected fitness effect created by the exercise resistance can be maintained.

摘要： The present invention is an exercise apparatus having right and left foot pedals (12, 14) with a forward end thereof pivotally supported by right and left swing arms (16), and a rearward end thereof pivotally supported by right and left lift arms (18). In an alternative embodiment a lift cable is used. A swing control member interconnects the swing arms to provide a dependent action with the rearward movement of one pedal causing the forward movement of the other, and an interconnect member interconnects the rearward end portions of the pedals to provide a dependant action with the downward movement of the rearward end of one pedal causing the rearward end of the other pedal to move upward. The swing control member and the interconnect member are operatively disconnected such that while the forward and rearward movement of the right and left pedals have dependent action, and the downward and upward movement of the right and left pedals have dependent action, the forward and rearward movements, and the downward and upward movements are independent of each other.

摘要： An exercise bicycle including a frame, an adjustable seat structure (418), and an adjustable handlebar structure (476). One example of the frame includes a front fork (422), a down tube (450) connected with the front fork, a seat tube (422), and a bottom frame member. The down tube has a first section that extends downwardly and rearwardly from a top portion of the front fork and has a section horizontal section (444) connected with the seat tube. The front fork, down tube, seat tube, and bottom frame member define a five sided structure (466). The frame also includes a rear support brace connected with the seat tube and the bottom frame member in a triangular configuration. The seat structure has a seat post that is adjustably supported in the seat tube. The seat structure also has a horizontal seat rail (506) and a cooperating seat collar that slides back and forth on the seat rail to allow fore and aft adjustment of a seat connected with the seat collar. The handlebar structure is adjustably supported in the a head tube, which is connected to the top of the front fork, and provides a plurality of gripping positions (490, 494) for a user.
