摘要： The present invention relates generally to exercise equipment and more specifically, to an isometric exercise apparatus and a storage rack therefor. The isometric exercise apparatus includes a frame which has a base and a sidewall joined to the base. The base has an exercise platform for supporting a user's body. Also provided is a restraint arm assembly connected to the frame. The arm restraint assembly includes a swing arm pivotally connected to the base, a restraint arm carried by the swing arm and positionable above the exercise platform to inhibit movement of a portion of the user's body so as to allow the user to perform isometric exercises. An indexing assembly is provided to fix the swing arm in a predetermined angular position selected from a set of discrete angular positions relative to the base. At least one limb restraint accessory is positionable at predetermined locations along the base for inhibiting movement of the user's limb so as to allow the user to perform isometric exercises. The apparatus can rapidly be adapted or configured to target a plurality of joint angles to work different muscle groups (or different muscles within the same muscle group) for an enhanced isometric workout.

摘要： A trampoline with a frame has a rebounding mat that is tensioned to the frame with a plurality of flexible and cordlike linear elastic members. The rebounding mat is configured so that a non-tensioned portion thereof covers the elastic members to increase the trampolines useable area. In the more preferred embodiments, elastic members are cordlike flexible elastic members and the non-tensioned portion is segmented into overlapping petals to move freely with the tensioned portioned of the rebounding mat as it moves vertically. Preferably each cordlike elastic members is connected to the frame and the rebounding mat at one of two alternative positions to alter the tension. The alternative positions permit a tensioning process that extends the lifetime of elastic cords having a fabric sheath. This independent tension of each elastic member is via connector member that grips the rebounding mat but also grasps opposing the ends of the elastic members as well as central portion thereof so that two segment of the cord between each end and the central portion are preferably wrapped around the trampoline frame.

摘要： An exercise apparatus combines weight and pneumatic resisitance to provide a user with options to work against either or both type of the resistances. In one mode, the exercise apparatus includes a user interface, such as, for example, a weight-lifting bar, that a user can move either toward or away from stationary portion of the user's body. A weight (e,g., a free weight plate) can be selectively coupled to the user interface. A pneumatic resistance device can also be selectively coupled to the user interface independent of whether the user interface is also coupled to the weight. The pneumatic resistance device includes at least one valve to regulate the amount of the resistance that the pnuematic resistance device applies to oppose movement of the user interface in at least one direction. At least one actuator may be provided for controlling the at least one valve, the actuator being configured to be manipulated by the user while the user is in an exercise position. The apparatus can also include a trolley that moves relative to a track. The trolley can move with the user interface so as to permit various positions of the user interface relative to the pneumatic resistance device. An adjustable bench adapted to support the user during exercise and capable of engaging an auxilliary rack assembly may also be provided. The bench includes a seat and a backrest that are interconnected and moveable relative to a frame. The bench is adjustble from a generally flat configuration to one or more inclined configurations. In the Flat configurations, the bench is particularly suitable for pressing exercise such as the bench press. In the fully inclined position, the bench is suitable for upright exercise such as the military press and the shoulder press. The shoulder of the human body remain generally at the same horizontal location along the bench as the backrest is inclined. The bench thus does not need to be repositioned relative to a bar as the inclination of the bench is changed.
