    • The invention relates to a laboratory container (10), in particular a cell culture container, comprising a container volume (20) which is surrounded by a container body (12) and which can be accessed from the outside through a container opening (64) of the container body (12). The container has a fluid line (42) which communicates with the container volume (20) and which comprises a valve arrangement (40). The fluid line (42) is designed to conduct fluid in order to discharge and/or introduce fluid out of and/or into the container volume (20). The fluid line (42) can be selectively released in order to conduct a fluid or blocked by the valve arrangement (40), and the container additionally has a gas balancing opening (52), through which gas can be introduced into or discharged out of the container volume (20) in counterflow to a possible fluid flow in the fluid line (42). The gas compensating opening (52) is provided on a gas compensating line (50) which extends along a virtual channel course axis (K) and which has a line channel that is surrounded by a channel wall (56), said line channel running from the gas balancing opening (52) into the container volume (20) and opening into said container volume.
