    • A self cleaning header assembly for use within a spray application system includes a plurality of spray guns for spraying a mix of air and liquid, e.g., an adhesive, and comprises a cleaning mechanism including one or more wash nozzles and a shroud. During a cleaning cycle, the shroud is closed and the spray guns rotate to approach the wash nozzles. The wash nozzles apply pressurized liquid, e.g., water, to the spray gun nozzles to remove excess adhesive that may affect the spray pattern and flow. After the washing cycle is complete, the spray guns are rotated to again face the target of interest and the shroud is reopened.

    • An apparatus (10) for non-contact cleaning a paint spray tip (18) of a spray gun. The apparatus includes a housing (12) with a top and an opening (14) formed in the top (16) to receive the spray tip. At least one drier nozzle (48) is fluidly connected to a source of compressed air so that discharge from the nozzle impinges upon and dries the spray tip (18). Similarly, at least one solvent nozzle (64) is also attached to the housing around the opening (14) and discharges solvent on the spray tip (18) when positioned in the housing opening (14). One or more down flow nozzles (80) are also mounted to the housing to create a downdraft through the housing opening to facilitate cleaning and drying of the spray gun spray tip. A heated fluid (70) also flows through the housing in close proximity to the fluid passageways (54, 90) for the drier nozzle and solvent nozzle in order to heat both the drier nozzle air flow and solvent flow to facilitate cleaning of the spray tip.
