摘要： A data display video monitor includes an automatic kinescope bias (AKB) control system (15) of the type wherein kinescope cathode output pulses (RS, GS, BS) representative of the black current level conducted by the kinescope are produced in response to energizing the kinescope grid during sensing intervals (G). As a result of this operation, plural horizontal lines along the top edge of the visible display screen area are illuminated. To reduce the visible effect of the illuminated lines, the AKB system is activated (K) for short sensing intervals (e.g., two seconds or less) between considerably longer holding intervals (e.g., five munutes).

摘要： A method for clamping the black level of a television signal comprises converting the input video signal to a digital input signal and, by means of a measuring circuit (10), measuring the signal level during a blanking period of the input video signal. The measured signal level is compared with a digital reference level to generate a digital error signal. A correction signal derived from the error signal at correction generator (14) is added to the samples forming the digital input signal with any residue of the truncated addition at each sample being retained for addition with the correction signal to the next sample.

摘要： A wideband video signal processor includes a kinescope driver stage (32) which is AC coupled (40) to the kinescope, and an automatic kinescope bias (AKB) control system. During AKB operating intervals, the kinescope is energized (G') so as to produce a cathode output pulse (RS) with a magnitude related to the level of black current conducted by kinescope. Brightness control is achieved by coupling a brightness control voltage (VB) to a signal path which conveys the cathode output pulse to AKB signal processing circuits in a bias control unit (50).

摘要： A video signal transmission system wherein a television video signal is subjected to a waveform conversion in a video processing unit on a transmission side, then sent to a receiving side and restored in a restoring processing unit on the receiving side. The video processing unit comprises partly polarity inverts a composite video signal containing a horizontal synchronizing signal in accordance with a pseudo-random code utilizing a horizontal scanning frequency as a clock pulse such that the while level of an inverted video signal portion will not be smaller than a peak level of a non-inverted horizontal synchronizing signal portion. The restoring processing unit on the receiving side inverts again the polarity of the polarity inverted composite video signal portion in accordance with the pseudo-random code to obtain a restored composite video signal portion having the same polarity as the original composite video signal. A difference between the peak level of the horizontal synchronizing signal of the inverted and restored composite video signal portion and the peak level of the horizontal synchronizing signal of the non-inverted composite video signal portion is detected and feedback to the input of the restoring processing unit so as to control these peak levels to the same level.
